Tarascon shares with the other provençal towns a taste for celebrations, including bullfighting and equestrian folk traditions. All of the celebrations in Tarascon and its surroundings show bulls, « Ferrades », « Abrivados », « courses camarguaises »; and after the farandoles come folk bands to the rhythm of «  peñas ». When the evening comes, in the summertime, the people sitting outside and at the bodegas forget the heat of the sun with a fresh aniseed drink.
